The Yellow Wiggle

After five years of taking over the role of the yellow wiggle from the beloved Australian children's band, The Wiggles, front man Sam Moran has been pushed aside for the old yellow wiggle and previous front man, Greg Page who has now resumed the role. Mister Page fell ill in 2007 and was forced to hang up the yellow skivvy making way for Sam Moran.

At first people were not to keen on the new yellow wiggle but still kept the open mind of having a new replacement or losing the band or not even having a yellow wiggle at all! After time Mr. Moran was warmly welcomed by Australian children and treated just the same way as old yellow wiggle Greg Page. People always thought that this would be it, Sam Moran would forever take on the role until the end of time, how wrong we were!

Only a few months ago a television special interest show broadcast an interview with previous front man Greg Page, who was looking a picture of health and stating all he wanted was his old yellow skivvy back as he was forced by illness to leave. He stated he never wanted to leave the role as it was his whole life and what he loves to do best, entertain children.

Two weeks ago Sam Moran was asked to step aside and make way for the return of Greg Page.

How will the return of the old yellow wiggle, Greg Page be perceived is anyone's guess. I know my little girl got a bit confused when I told her that it's not Sam anymore it's Greg, my daughter was brought up in the Sam era, I was brought up in the Greg era, bit confusing huh?

In a video interview Sam has stated not to fear his departure, The Wiggles must and will go on! He also stated that he received many blessings and well wishes from adoring fans both parents and children. He does not know what lays ahead for him but we wish him well in his future adventures.

Back to Greg now, a lot of children are going to have to readjust to saying Greg now, he is thrilled to be back in the role I just hope all the Australian kids accept him back too. Greg was an original member of the band back when it was formed in the early 90's. Back when Greg was front man he had luscious dark brown locks, though these days a little thinner and a little more grey Greg still looks as healthy as he did back then and I am happy to see him back to his picture of health and vitality we all hope that he keeps his health and The Wiggles live until the end of time.

It was said that Greg was treated better than Sam who was not an original. I think in all fairness Australia fell in love with Sam Moran and will always have that soft spot for him. But as Greg makes his return we wish him all the best and may The beloved Wiggles live on!
